Job summary

Wiley|Wilson is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Lynchburg, VA team to lead the mechanical design on diverse projects. You will work closely with our mechanical design staff, serve as technical lead, and collaborate with PMs and senior engineers to develop detailed design documents.

The role includes mentoring junior staff and supporting business development. We leverage expertise in HVAC, plumbing, steam, hot water, and distribution systems to deliver robust MEP solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia or eligible via reciprocity within three months of start date.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; field knowledge of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design on a variety of projects and collaborate with PMs and senior engineers.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts.
• Coordinate with project teams to conceptualize and execute detailed design documents.
