Job summary

OnlyHire.Me in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of HVAC and plumbing design to join our Georgetown office. You will lead projects and represent the Mechanical discipline in client meetings. A PE license, strong Revit and Trane Trace skills, and mentoring ability are required.

You will coordinate with other disciplines, manage design documentation, and contribute to project success through leadership and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of focused mechanical/plumbing design experience.
• Professional Mechanical Engineer license required.
• Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
• Experience with Trane Trace software.

Responsibilities

• Mentor mechanical engineers and designers.
• Develop and manage project work plans.
• Responsible for systems selections and basis of design.
• Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members.
• Represent the Mechanical discipline at client meetings and coordinate with other disciplines and the Project Manager.
• Provide construction phase support including submittal review and RFI response.
• Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards with senior staff.
• Support quality control of mechanical/plumbing work products.
• Act as a senior resource for HVAC and plumbing design guidance.
