Job summary

Nomad Global Communications Solutions seeks a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead intermodal container design efforts. You will develop container structures, interfaces, and modifications, ensuring ISO 830 terminology is applied across designs and documentation.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, fabrication drawings, and conducting structural analyses to validate performance for transport and field deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• CAD experience required; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience designing or modifying intermodal freight containers or containerized platforms.
• Familiarity with ISO 830 vocabulary and container design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and document intermodal freight container systems for Nomad platforms.
• Create CAD models and drawings; deliver production-ready documentation.
• Perform structural analyses and load calculations to validate designs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Apply ISO 830 terminology consistently in requirements, drawings, and reviews.
