Job summary

Cogent Analytics Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and products supporting engineering and production operations.

The role reports to the CTO and collaborates with Fabrication, Assembly, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams in Hartford, CT. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders living in the Hartford area, with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 7+ years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic engineered controlled systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Inventor (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical specifications to develop conceptual drawings and bill of materials.
• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment per project specs.
• Prepare engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.
• Prepare test procedures and conduct performance testing on assemblies.
• Perform analysis to validate designs.
• Evaluate product performance and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations on manufacturability.
