Job summary

BSI Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems for industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, and aviation.

You will contribute from concept through construction on industrial projects, collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure safety, reliability, and performance. The role supports a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence required three days per week and offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering required.
• 8+ years experience in consulting engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC, hydronic, steam, compressed air, and dust collection.
• Experience with HVAC load calculation software.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver schematic design, development, and construction documents for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, utilities).
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, and design disciplines to align solutions with objectives, scope, budget, and schedule.
• Travel to client sites to collect field data and assess existing systems.
• Prepare drawings and specs compliant with NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and ASME standards.
• Develop P&IDs, airflow diagrams, and related documentation.
