Job summary

BSI Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop HVAC, Plumbing, and Building Utility systems. You will gather field data, create 2D drawings and 3D Revit models, and produce GA drawings for industrial projects.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, familiarity with codes, and collaboration with engineers. Hybrid work requires in-office presence at least three days weekly; strong client interaction is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Skilled with 3D modeling in Revit.
• Familiarity with Mechanical/Plumbing codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME standards.
• Experience designing HVAC and Utility Piping for industrial clients.
• Ability to visit project sites to gather field information.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Recap and Navisworks; Excel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site visits to gather field data.
• Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Building Utilities.
• Draft 2D drawings and deliverables using applicable standards.
• Develop 3D models in Revit of equipment, ductwork, and piping.
• Generate HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping plans in the Revit model.
• Assist in updating mechanical lists and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineers and clients on deliverables.
