Job summary

Textron in Wilmington, Massachusetts is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II/III to focus on mechanical design for military applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable as a designer of mechanical components and have experience with extreme hypersonic flight conditions.

Qualifications

• Comfortable interacting with suppliers within a multidiscipline team.
• Experience integrating component design solutions into an overall assembly.
• Ability to generate product performance specifications and detailed design reports.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the detailed design of structural components.
• Create Technical Data Packages that include 3D drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and direct high quality mechanical and electro-mechanical detail drawings.

Skills

Comfortable as a designer of mechanical components and systems subjected to extreme hypersonic flight conditions

Packaging design of electronics systems

CAD design utilizing 3D digital product development tools

Demonstrated Design for Manufacturing and Assembly skills

Education

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of related experience (Level II)

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 5 years of related experience (Level III)
