Job summary

HaloBraid in Cambridge, MA is seeking a hands-on mechanical design engineer to architect mechanical systems for a braid assist device. You will work with cross-functional teams and report directly to the CEO.

Ideal candidates have CAD experience in robotics or consumer electronics, experience from concept to production, and a drive to bring novel technology to market. Onsite role with strong equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD and mechanical design of complex robotics or consumer electronics.
• Experience through the concept to production cycle (rapid prototyping, DFM, contract manufacturing).
• Experience bringing novel technology to market.

Responsibilities

• Architect mechanical systems and sub-assemblies from 3D CAD to production-ready parts.
• Collaborate with mechanical, industrial design, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, users, and cross-functional teams.
• Manage engineers, set best practices and standards, and strengthen our engineering culture.
• Push for elegant and effective solutions, challenge status quo, and drive design forward.
• This is a hands-on engineering role that reports directly to the CEO.
