Job summary

Halo is a technology company building the future of haircare hardware with HaloBraid, a braid-assist device used by professional stylists. You will understand the HaloBraid machine architecture and own a subassembly from 3D CAD through pilot and toward production-ready parts.

You will mentor engineers, review designs to reduce complexity, and establish robust test frameworks, applying DFM/DFA and preparing for pilot builds, supplier engagement, and handoff to contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electromechanical product development.
• Strong mechanical design judgment and system-level thinking.
• Experience taking designs from prototype to production.
• Fluency with tolerances, control drawings, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Understand HaloBraid and its architecture; own a subassembly from 3D CAD through pilot and toward production-ready parts.
• Review design work across the team to reduce complexity and raise design standards.
• Build robust test/experiment/decision frameworks; apply DFM/DFA judgment for pilot builds and supplier handoff to contract manufacturers.
• Mentor engineers, establish practical best practices and standards, and strengthen the engineering culture.
• Collaborate with electrical, industrial design, manufacturing, and suppliers.
