Job summary

SSOE is seeking aSenior Mechanical Engineer with pharmaceutical industry experience to join our Food and Consumer Products practice. The role emphasizes GMP design with focus on HVAC and utilities, requiring a proven ability to lead projects and communicate clearly with clients.

Responsibilities include leading projects, developing scopes and budgets, supervising junior engineers, and coordinating with multiple disciplines. Travel is required; a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required for licensure eligibility.
• PE license or PE-tracked strongly preferred with 10+ years of experience.
• 8+ years of experience designing HVAC and mechanical utility systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/food sanitary design and consultancy.
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD programs like AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, facilitation and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads projects with sound judgment and adapts standard methods for clients.
• Develops project scopes, schedules and budgets with client coordination.
• Performs detailed engineering work on major projects or smaller ones.
• Analyzes HVAC, utility and mechanical systems for efficiency and production.
• Supervises junior engineers and checks discipline drawings.
• Participates in client meetings and business development; travels as needed.
