Job summary

Furientis seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Los Angeles to design, analyze, build, and test primary and secondary structures, launcher hardware, and GSE for a high-rate interceptor program.

You will work across airframe, mechanisms, launcher, and ground support equipment with a hands-on, cross-disciplinary approach, focusing on cost-effective, producible solutions. U.S. Person eligible for SECRET clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on mechanical design of flight structures or mission-critical systems.
• Fluency in metallic or composite design, analysis, and manufacturing.
• Strong CAD and PDM usage (NX and Teamcenter).
• U.S. Person eligible for U.S. SECRET clearance.
• Experience with GD&T and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, build, and test primary and secondary structures, mechanisms, launcher and ground equipment.
• Take parts from CAD to prototype to proven flight hardware.
• Coordinate with aero, propulsion, avionics, GNC, and seeker teams; integrate with the Control Actuation System Engineer.
• Run vehicle integration, environmental test, and ground/flight test campaigns; address anomalies.
