Responsibilities include designing enclosures, creating drawings, verifying prototypes meet customer needs, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting marketing materials.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with SolidWorks proficiency.
• Experience designing fiber optic or telecom hardware.
• Ability to create manufacturing drawings and docs.

Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and passive component enclosures/hardware in SolidWorks.
• Create 2D drawings and manufacturing/end-user documentation.
• Verify designs meet customer requirements and reliability standards.
• Apply industry knowledge to guide design decisions and troubleshoot field issues.
• Build and test prototypes, including 3D-printed parts.
• Create and maintain work instructions and inspection documents.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve product quality.
• Support marketing campaigns with datasheets and materials.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.
• Visit customers and stay current on industry trends.
