Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on multiple federal projects, designing HVAC systems and sustainable solutions. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers and clients from pursuit through construction.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15+ years in consulting, US PE licensure, and US citizenship; travel to project sites will be required as needed, and familiarity with UFC/UFGS standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for federal employment eligibility.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15+ years in consulting engineering and facility design.
• PE licensure in the United States; multiple state licenses preferred.
• Experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.
• Strong communication skills for presentations, project communications, and written documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical discipline on multiple concurrent federal projects through pursuit, design and construction phases.
• Mentor junior staff and develop construction-ready drawings and specifications with inter-discipline coordination.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; pursue new project opportunities.
• Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys and client coordination.
