The Senior Engineer (Mechanical) provides mechanical and HVAC engineering support to DOJ/BOP facilities by conducting technical analyses, reviewing documents, and drafting inputs to aid government decision-making. The role is advisory and does not approve designs or certify compliance on behalf of the Government.

Primarily remote work with occasional travel to DOJ/BOP sites. Required: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years of related experience, and a professional license (RA or PE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of progressively responsible mechanical/HVAC engineering experience
• Must obtain DOJ/BOP suitability and facility access
• RA or PE certification preferred
• Experience with Federal facilities projects is a plus

Responsabilités

• Review mechanical/HVAC design documents, calculations, and submittals for completeness and alignment with requirements.
• Support facility condition assessments and identify deficiencies with recommended actions.
• Perform HVAC performance and energy-efficiency analyses and document findings for government review.
• Prepare technical inputs for Statements of Work, acceptance criteria, and evaluation factors.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to identify interfaces and integration issues.
• Support commissioning and closeout documentation and prepare executive summaries for stakeholders.
