Job summary

Konik is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (CFD) to design and analyze components for extreme conditions using FEA and CFD, with remote work options. The role emphasizes robust component performance and collaboration with external firms.

The candidate will document analyses for customers and internal reviews, require 5+ years of experience and a Mechanical Engineering degree, and will work in a direct-hire capacity with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with core competencies.
• Minimum 5 years of design and analysis experience.
• Hands-on CAD experience, preferably AutoDesk Inventor.
• Experience with FEA/CFD and materials mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate components using AutoDesk Inventor for severe-duty applications.
• Develop FEA models to assess stress under variable temperature and pressure.
• Coordinate CFD analyses with external firms and build internal CFD capability.
• Perform lifecycle analyses for fatigue, creep, and thermal shock.
• Document analysis results for customers and internal reviews.
• Share engineering best practices with design teams.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure robust performance.
