AfterQuery is a remote, project-based role for mechanical engineers with 2-4 years of hands-on CAD and mechanical design experience. You will handle design, analysis, documentation, and product development support on a 2-3 week engagement, typically 10-20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD platforms and ability to produce detailed drawings to standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and iterate on mechanical designs and CAD models.
• Develop engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Perform stress, tolerance, and DFM analyses as needed.
• Support product development from concept to prototype and production-ready design.
• Document design decisions and methodologies clearly.
