Job summary

Genesis Technical Staffing, Inc. seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our EPC team supporting power generation and distribution projects, including gas turbines, renewables, BESS, substations, and transmission systems.

You will develop conceptual layouts, perform piping design, and provide field verification and commissioning support. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years of EPC experience, and a PE license is highly preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
PE license highly preferred.
7+ years of industrial or EPC mechanical experience.
Strong piping design and stress analysis knowledge.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and cost studies for mechanical systems.
Design complex process and utility piping systems.
Produce estimate-level designs, material take-offs, and detailed sketches.
Perform piping stress analysis, sizing calculations, and select valves, supports, and specialty materials.
Review vendor and interdisciplinary drawings; provide mechanical design input.
Support drafting teams with layout and detailing coordination.
Assist with scope development, procurement documentation, construction packages, and field support.
Conduct field verification and provide construction/commissioning support.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations as required.
