Job summary

LettrLabs is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of complex electromechanical systems. You will manage projects from concept through production, collaborating with multiple teams.

The right candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with hands-on expertise in motion systems, sheet-metal design, and strong DFM principles. The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Deep, hands‑on experience with motion systems and their core components.
• Proven experience with FEA and hand calculations to drive and validate design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own entire mechanical systems and sub‑systems across the full product lifecycle.
• Design precision motion systems incorporating belts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
• Perform engineering analysis using hand calculations and FEA to validate designs.
