Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead the design and development of E House structures for switchgear. The role emphasizes structural integrity, thermal performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization across cross-functional teams.

The position requires 7+ years in mechanical design of large fabricated structures, experience with seismic design, and proficiency in CAD tools; leadership and production handoff experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design of E House systems or similar large structures.
• Experience leading projects and delivering designs into production.
• Strong expertise in structural design of large assemblies and enclosures.
• Experience considering environmental and seismic design requirements.
• Leadership experience (project or team lead).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of E House structures and mechanical assemblies.
• Ensure designs meet structural, thermal, environmental, seismic requirements.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability and design-for-assembly to reduce fabrication time.
• Serve as the technical authority for E House design decisions and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Support application engineering, sales, and cost estimating for E House configurations.
