Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services in Charleston, SC, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, model, document, integrate, and sustain mechanical systems for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle.

You will prepare and manage technical reviews, data packages, bills of materials, and engineering changes, coordinating with internal teams and customer stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance throughout the system lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field.
• At least eight years of experience and an interim Secret clearance before starting; active DoD Secret clearance preferred.
• Extensive SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD experience with strong design and documentation skills.
