Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to support the design and delivery of mechanical building systems for large-scale projects in St. Petersburg, FL.

You will collaborate directly with construction and field teams and utilize Revit throughout the design process. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and strong client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Strong Revit proficiency.
• Experience with large-scale building projects.
• Experience with multifamily, high-rise, hospitality, commercial, healthcare, data center, or similar projects.
• High-rise apartments, hotels, condos, or student housing experience is desirable.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or delegating work.
• PE license is a plus.
• Stable employment history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building systems for large-scale construction projects.
• Develop layouts, calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
• Utilize Revit throughout the design process.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, architectural, and construction teams.
• Review designs for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
• Work directly with clients and project stakeholders.
• Participate in technical and construction coordination meetings.
• Manage project responsibilities throughout design and construction.
• Delegate responsibilities and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Support resolution of design and constructability issues during field execution.
