Job summary

Arcmed in New Jersey is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to drive design transfers, verification, manufacturing scale-up, automation, continuous improvement, and sustaining engineering initiatives. This role operates within an ISO 9001 quality system for diagnostics and medical devices, bridging R&D and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years of progressive engineering experience in a regulated environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for component and assembly design.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and tolerance stack‑up analyses.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001, design controls, and DHF.
• Experience with ECO/ECN change management and CAPA.
• Hands‑on V&V planning and testing of fluidic/electromechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to present data to managers/clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex diagnostic sub‑assemblies and modules.
• Own design transfers from concept through verification and production release.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance analyses to ensure high-yield manufacturing.
• Perform structural, thermal, and fluidic analyses with prototyping validation.
• Implement automation and continuous improvement to cut costs and raise throughput.
