Job summary

Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Corp. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who leads defined engineering efforts and owns technical outcomes for moderately complex products and subsystems.

You will design, analyze, and solve problems with sound engineering judgment while collaborating with cross-functional partners. You will develop mechanical designs and supporting calculations, perform FEA/CFD analyses, and apply established standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns technical outcomes for assigned components, subsystems, or projects with moderate complexity.
• Applies independent engineering judgment to design decisions, analyses, and problem resolution within established standards and practices.
• Escalates complex or high-risk issues appropriately while contributing to resolution.
• Participates in and supports medium-scale engineering projects, contributing to technical planning, execution, and delivery.
• Provides reliable engineering input to project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinates engineering activities with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
