Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems at our Ohio site. You will size mechanical components and perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and structural analyses under senior staff guidance.

The role supports safety reviews, commissioning, field inspections, and troubleshooting, with opportunity to work on procurement evaluations and factory acceptance tests. A Q security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment.
• Experience includes sizing, pressure-drop calculations, pipe-stress concepts, codes and safety practices, and exposure to drafting or analysis tools.

Design and optimize facility piping systems, size mechanical components, prepare and update technical drawings and specifications, and perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, stress, and structural analyses. Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance tests, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under senior staff guidance.

Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment. Relevant experience includes equipment sizing, pressure-drop calculations, pipe-stress concepts, applicable codes and safety practices, and exposure to drafting or analysis tools; the successful candidate must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
