Job summary

The position reports to the Hardware Engineering Manager and involves life-cycle support, product realization, and manufacturing transfer to ensure cost-effective production and high reliability.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in mechanical engineering or science with experience in product development.
• Experience as Lead Mechanical Engineer on multidisciplinary programs.
• Ability to translate requirements into engineering solutions balancing cost and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Create and review engineering drawings with GD&T and BOM management.
• Develop manufacturing packages for in-house or subcontracted production.
• Support life-cycle sustainment and field investigations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Perform prototype assembly, tests, and documentation of results.
• Ensure designs meet DoD/defense industry standards and DFMA principles.
• Provide expert input on material selection and manufacturability during design reviews.
