Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the design of liquid cooling systems for our expanding data center footprint. You will drive resilient, cost-effective mechanical design and collaborate with global partners to deliver scalable data center solutions.

You will lead cross-functional teams, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to cost optimization while traveling up to 25% of the year to support global operations and projects.

Qualifications

Senior mechanical engineering experience with data center cooling systems.
Ability to design resilient, cost-effective mechanical systems for AWS data centers.
Leads multiple initiatives and communicates technical direction to senior management.

Responsibilities

Define and design liquid cooling equipment and related infrastructure.
Collaborate with internal and external ecosystem partners to design and develop data center product solutions.
Support field engineering and data center operations for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Leverage standardization and modularization to achieve cost efficiencies.
Develop technical design procedures and piping analysis, and provide SME guidance to peers.
