Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the El Paso area to provide on-site oversight of large-scale data center construction projects. You will coordinate with trade partners, review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, and work with the in-office design team to update drawings and assist with construction administration remotely.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering; 2-year degrees with work experience may be considered

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site execution of design work coordinating with contractors, clients, and design partners
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents
• Perform and review hydronic and airside calculations for multiple mechanical systems
• Select and specify HVAC equipment
• Develop and understand detailed sequences of operations (SOO) for mechanical systems
• Coordinate with internal and external disciplines for RFI resolution
• Mentor and train junior engineers and designers
• Maintain organization and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Meet project deadlines and provide clear written and spoken communications
