Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Product Engineer to join the data center engineering team in Austin.

You will design liquid or air cooling equipment and related infrastructure, collaborating with product design, field teams, and suppliers to deliver scalable data center solutions. You will drive technical direction, perform root cause analyses, and push for cost-effective, reliable designs across global data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required.
• 6+ years in industrial or commercial engineering for mission critical facilities including data centers.
• Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Experience with data center cooling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and design liquid or air cooling equipment and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal and external ecosystem partners to design and develop new data center product solutions.
• Support field engineering and data center operation teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Leverage standardization and modularization to realize economies of scale in products.
• Maintain and develop design procedures for piping and pipe support analysis.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise to peers, senior management and partner teams.
