Job summary

Candidates With a Future is partnering with a U.S. manufacturer to hire a Mechanical Engineer II or III to develop and refine sophisticated industrial equipment and automated manufacturing systems.

This hands-on role emphasizes ownership of projects, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and bringing complex equipment from concept through production and installation. The ideal candidate has a mechanical design background, SolidWorks expertise, and experience applying GD&T and FEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years (Engineer II) or 5+ years (Engineer III) of professional mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for modeling, drawings, and assemblies.
• Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience applying FEA to evaluate designs.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality practices.
• Experience with ERP or similar manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve mechanical assemblies, equipment, fixtures, tooling, and integrated manufacturing systems.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform calculations and tolerance analyses to ensure reliability and performance.
• Apply GD&T and FEA to validate designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Support assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with suppliers to meet component specifications.
• Maintain engineering documentation and manage design changes.
