Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience with design ownership.
• Proven CAD proficiency and ability to produce engineering drawings.
• Experience with BOM/Drawing management in a PLM tool.
• Experience with RCA and PCA for quality improvements.
• Hands-on prototyping across CAD, machine shop, and test bench.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full mechanical design lifecycle for rugged hardware.
• Drive design evolution from feedback to detailed designs.
• Own CAD-to-prototype pipeline including fabrication coordination.
• Ensure robust mechanical integration across subsystems (LiDAR, mounts, power).
• Design for extreme environments (shock, vibration, sealing).
• Serve as mechanical authority for product quality and DFA/DFM improvements.
• Manage engineering documentation and BOM while handling config changes.
• Support qualification campaigns with cross-functional teams.
• Travel to exercises to gather field feedback.
