Job summary

Talascend is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Chandler, AZ for a long-term contract. You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes, with emphasis on cleanrooms and HVAC systems.

The role involves coordinating with clients and suppliers, mentoring designers, and shaping engineering procedures. Ideal candidates have 10–17 years of experience, a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, and deep knowledge of ISO 14644, IEST-RP, and HVAC

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Good working knowledge of ISO 14644 series and IEST-RP standards.
Deep knowledge of HVAC systems, air handling units, and cleanroom recirculation/exhaust.
Ability to troubleshoot on-site and instruct others on resolution methods.
Experience coordinating between clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design, development, modification, and evaluation of components and processes.
Conduct field investigations and develop cost estimates for mechanical work.
Coordinate efforts between engineering groups, clients, suppliers, and contractors.
Communicate complex technical issues and propose effective solutions to management.
Mentor designers and drafters through on-the-job training.
Support development of engineering procedures and design guides.
