Job summary

Jobot is seeking a mid-senior building design mechanical engineer with PE to lead design and mentorship for infrastructure projects. The role involves directing mechanical systems design for large facilities and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have ABET-accredited mechanical engineering training, 7+ years of design/construction experience, and strong leadership skills to guide a project team through design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7+ years in engineering design and construction administration.
• Experience with building/infrastructure design and BIM (Revit).
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for central cooling and heating plants.
• Perform heat, mass balance, energy analysis, pipe stress analyses.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Prepare design packages with drawings, specifications and estimates.
• Coordinate with PMs, other disciplines, and external consultants.
• Contribute to construction administration including site visits and shop drawing reviews.
