Job summary

WSP seeks an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Charlotte, NC office. You will support design, analysis, and project execution for building and infrastructure projects, focusing on automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems.

You will collect site data, run calculations, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineers and planners to meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and application to project work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical systems design, development, and construction management for building infrastructure projects.
• Perform data collection, analyses, load calculations, and reporting for design decisions.
• Coordinate with regulators and cross-functional teams to ensure codes and permits are met.
• Produce technical reports and drawings using CAD tools.
• Support health and safety plans and project documentation.
