GRW is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Lexington, KY to join our design team. You will design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for varied infrastructure and building projects, collaborating with architecture, electrical, and structural disciplines.

The role emphasizes life cycle costing, modelling, and performance optimization, with growth toward leadership on larger projects and potential ownership considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE certification or on-track to acquire; KY registration within 6 months preferred.
• 5–10+ years designing mechanical building systems in consulting.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and controls.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architectural, electrical and structural teams on diverse projects.
• Design mechanical building systems to meet performance and code requirements.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Apply life cycle costing, HVAC modelling and simulations to design decisions.
• Support client communications and project management activities.
