Job summary

GRW, headquartered in Lexington, KY, seeks a Chief Mechanical Engineer to lead multidisciplinary design teams on large scale building projects. You will direct HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, with emphasis on sustainability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification in at least one US state with ability to register in KY within 6 months.
10 to 20 years of experience designing mechanical building systems in a consulting environment.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical system design including plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and temperature controls.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary design teams across HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection projects.
Oversee project resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
Manage staff of up to 10 engineers and designers.
Collaborate with architectural, electrical, and structural colleagues on complex buildings.
Develop sustainable and energy-efficient building designs and performance reports.
