CycloKinetics, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of plant mechanical systems for biorefinery operations. You will collaborate with fabricators, contractors, and the installation team to deliver robust, scalable equipment and processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, field problem solving, and safe, reliable equipment development across packaging, piping, vessels, and process equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5–10 years direct mechanical engineering experience with petrochemical, steel fabrication, or structural experience preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD platforms (SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Proficiency in computer simulation/analysis tools (FEA & CFD).
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and testing of mechanical systems across the facility.
• Develop drawings, specifications, and documentation for fabrication and review.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with codes and internal standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
