Job summary

Ausenco is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Tucson office. You will supervise the mechanical design team, guide multidiscipline delivery, and ensure alignment with project timelines and standards.

Responsibilities include equipment specification, procurement support, cost control, and contract input. A PE license for Arizona and extensive mining experience are required, with strong CAD/3D and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in mining, mineral processing or related industry (gold/copper).
• Must hold PE license for Arizona.
• Strong CAD/3D software skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mechanical design by supervising engineers and reviewing deliverables.
• Specify equipment requirements and assist procurement with purchases.
• Manage man-hour budgets and review cost estimates for mechanical projects.
• Contribute to contracts by providing technical input and mentoring team members.
• Issue drawings and information for construction with engineers and designers.
• Mentor and train project team to sustain high performance.
