Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our Aviation Fuels team. This role is open to fully remote candidates with some travel to Pond offices for team events. The Tampa, FL area is a preferred travel hub with hybrid options for nearby commuting colleagues.

You will work on DoD, federal, and commercial airport fuel-system projects, performing design development, calculations, and construction-phase services while growing toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• EIT certification or PE license preferred.
• Experience with DoD and federal infrastructure projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design development and calculations for fuel-system projects.
• Prepare piping plans, equipment layouts, and schedules.
• Assist with piping systems, tanks, pumps, and fuel farms design.
• Coordinate design interfaces across disciplines.
• Support site investigations and field coordination.
• Participate in submittals, construction observations, and commissioning.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
