Job summary

C&S Companies is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Fuel Facility team. Location at a C&S office is preferred; remote negotiable. Full-time preferred; part-time negotiable.

You will manage fueling systems projects across aviation, automotive, and related markets, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary design team. Responsibilities include budget development, client relations, and process optimization while ensuring compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical, environmental, or industrial engineering.
• PE license preferred or willing to pursue PE license.
• Experience with flammable/combustible liquids fueling systems.
• Ability to analyze complex engineering problems and propose solutions.
• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regs, and environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets and schedules for prospective project pursuits.
• Build relationships with clients and professionals.
• Develop and optimize processes for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness; apply advanced problem-solving.
• Ensure all projects comply with codes, standards, and regulations; maintain knowledge base of industry standards.
• Implement QA protocols and conduct reviews of deliverables for technical accuracy.
• Champion safety and risk management across project lifecycles; develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop P&IDs for Aviation, Automotive, Heating Oil, and Emergency Generator Systems.
• Communicate with stakeholders—management, clients, regulators, project teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support professional development.
• Adhere to safe work practices per federal, state, local, and company standards.
• Report incidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor or Health and Safety Department.
