Job summary

Forterra seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to advance its AutoDrive integration and industrial portfolio. You will translate concepts into manufacturable designs and support prototypes through production.

You will work with hardware, electrical, and software teams, drive DFM/ DFA, create drawings and test procedures, and contribute to design reviews in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with mechanical design using CAD tools and GD&T.
• Ability to collaborate in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Be a key member of Forterra’s Hardware Integration Team.
• Create mechanical designs within system constraints.
• Hands-on with the vehicle architecture; troubleshoot hardware systems.
• Create drawing packages, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Build, test, and validate designs against system requirements.
• Analyze designs for DFM, DFA and costs.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional discussions.
• Work closely with electrical and software teams to satisfy system requirements.
