Job summary

ST Engineering Aethon, Inc is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and integration of mechanical and electromechanical systems for autonomous robotic platforms. You will own end-to-end development from concept through production, coordinating with Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams to meet program objectives.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in robotics or related industries, strong CAD/FEA skills, and a track record of delivering products to mass

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex mechanical/electromechanical systems in robotics or related industries.
• Proven success delivering products from concept through production and field deployment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing.
• Experience with DFMEA, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and ECO processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical solutions for autonomous robots across structural, motion, thermal and manufacturability domains.
• Own the full lifecycle of mechanical subsystems from requirements to transfer to manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams and coordinate design activities.
• Translate product requirements into mechanical constraints, specs, and validation plans.
• Lead DFMEA, test plans, documentation, and supplier interactions to support production readiness.
