Job summary
Stratom is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in autonomous robotics and complex electromechanical systems. You will provide technical leadership across the development, integration, and verification of advanced robotic platforms, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, software, autonomy, and manufacturing teams.
The role demands hands-on engineering, strong systems thinking, and experience leading lifecycle activities from concept through field deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing complex electromechanical, autonomous systems.
- Experience leading systems engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on systems engineering activities including architecture, MBSE modeling, requirements development and traceability, interface definition, integration, verification and validation planning, and prototype support.
- Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams by coordinating engineering activities and guiding system-level decisions.
- Facilitate trade studies, identify technical risks, and drive execution across mechanical, electrical, software, autonomy, manufacturing, and test teams.
- Support customers, partners, and leadership by communicating system status, decisions, risks, and progress.
- Mentor engineers in systems engineering best practices and tools.
