Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Mechanical Engineer in Tempe, AZ. You will perform mechanical design, tooling and fixture development for image intensifier tube manufacturing, with emphasis on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvements.

You will lead cross-functional projects, produce design documentation, and support manufacturing lines while maintaining regulatory compliance and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 2+ years related experience; graduate degree with 0–2 years is also acceptable.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and automation is preferred.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Detailed mechanical design of tooling and fixtures for manufacturing automation.
• Improve ergonomics, efficiency, and reduce FOD in tooling and fixtures.
• Create engineering drawings and data packs; present to management.
