Ricoh USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead machine design and automation in our Boulder R&D group. You will own end-to-end mechanical design for robotic cells, tooling, and inspection hardware, collaborating with software, controls, and machine vision engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, fabrication, and production readiness, with frequent customer-site involvement and safety/certification considerations. On-site in Boulder, CO with relocation support.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
• 8+ years in mechanical design and hands-on work
• Demonstrated ability delivering complex machines from concept to working hardware
• Hands-on fabrication, wiring, and debugging in a shop environment
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drawings with GD&T

Responsabilidades

• Develop mechanical and electromechanical designs from concept through production hardware
• Design end-of-arm tooling, grippers, frames, guarding, and pneumatic systems for robotic cells
• Create sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components with DFM
• Define requirements and carry designs through to working hardware
• Specify and integrate motion systems, actuators, sensors, and pneumatics
• Design industrial control cabinets, cable routing, and harnessing
• Develop optical/imaging fixtures for inline inspection
• Produce manufacturing-ready documentation (3D CAD, schematics, BOMs)
• Coordinate with software/controls for system integration
• Assemble, wire, and debug prototypes in-house; support deployment and commissioning
• Support safety/certification activities (CE, EMC, RoHS)
• Visit customer sites to define requirements and support deployments
