px Group is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical systems across UK and European sites, ensuring asset integrity, compliance and reliability. You will support with engineering strategies, project execution and continuous improvement, while leading safety and regulatory initiatives.

The role involves mentoring teams, coordinating maintenance and outages, and liaising with customers and contractors to deliver safe, compliant operations across a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience in maintenance, contract, outage/shutdown management within 24/7 operation is essential.
• Knowledge of SHE and quality systems, and regulatory compliance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering support across UK and European sites.
• Develop and implement mechanical strategies, processes and systems for safe and efficient operations.
• Provide technical guidance for shutdowns, projects, maintenance activities and events.
• Manage projects and change initiatives ensuring MoC compliance.
• Drive safety, audits and investigations (HAZOP/LOPA/PSM).
• Mentor and lead with stakeholder engagement and specialist authorisation responsibilities.
