Job summary

Novelis Ashville RPNA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support high-volume coating, slitting and related processes at the Ashville facility. You will drive OpEx and CapEx initiatives, perform root cause analysis, and lead maintenance and reliability improvements with a cross-functional team.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with operations, reliability, and supply chain to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial engineering or maintenance roles.
• Experience in aluminum manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support safety systems and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide engineering support for coating lines and slitting centers.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and manage capital projects with on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate outages with reliability, operations, and supply chain.
• Manage vendors and internal project teams as needed.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance and NOS alignment.
