Job summary

Credence seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our Fixed Wing Branch in Crestview, FL. You will apply advanced hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems knowledge to design, analyze, and sustain aircraft components in a defense context.

Responsibilities include hardware design, feasibility studies, weight and balance considerations, and collaboration with IPTs to ensure manufacturability and mission readiness. ABET-accredited advanced degree or extensive DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active or current Secret security clearance (or higher) required.
• ABET-accredited Master’s or Doctorate in related field with 10 years experience.
• Or ABET-accredited Bachelor’s with 12 years experience, 5 in DoD/USG ISR/SOF.
• Minimum two years in design/development of aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems.
• Experience with airworthiness, loads, stress, and weight and balance analysis.
• ABET-accredited degree in engineering; other degrees not qualifying for these positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems.
• Perform design, development, integration, and analysis tasks.
• Lead hardware feasibility studies for design improvements and new technologies.
• Develop standards and certify criteria for airworthiness.
• Manage weight, power, cooling, and balance considerations.
• Coordinate with IPTs and suppliers to ensure requirements are met.
