AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive the mechanical design, testing and production of high-altitude aerospace electronics packaging and rotating electrical machines.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 8–12 years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in development for production rotating electrical machines or aerospace packaging solutions.
• Experience developing requirements for mechanical subsystems per MIL-STD 961D or equivalent.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools: SolidWorks for modeling; ANSYS for structural/fatigue; ANSYS Icepack for thermal analysis.
• Experience with bonding techniques for extreme environmental conditions and manufacturing methodologies for electrical machines.

• Leads testing and data collection in lab and field.
• Models mechanical devices and selects materials.
• Performs stress, fatigue and thermal analyses; selects bonding materials.
