Job summary

Merlin Labs is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate, and test avionics and control components for aircraft and test labs. You will oversee system integration, perform stress and model analyses, and provide CAD support with GD&T.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong engineering leadership, and travel up to 25–50% for domestic and international locations to support aircraft and system testing.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of technical work experience.
• Advanced modeling and CAD experience with major tools (SolidWorks, Catia, OnShape, Fusion360, or Creo).
• Experience leading engineering activities in design, analysis, and testing.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and test avionics and control components for aircraft and test labs.
• Oversee design and analysis tasks for system integration including stress and model analyses.
• Provide CAD work and apply GD&T best practices.
• Support testing activities and generate documentation and test reports.
• Prepare and coordinate mechanical drawings and related documents.
• Travel up to 25–50% domestically and internationally as needed for integration and testing.
