About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a hands‑on Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop motors, actuators, and high‑reliability electromechanical systems.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys owning projects from concept through design, testing, qualification, production, and sustaining engineering. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, test, and customers to develop reliable, high‑performance products.

What You’ll Do
  • Design mechanical components and assemblies for motors, actuators, geartrains, housings, shafts, and related hardware.
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, BOMs, specifications, and tolerance schemes.
  • Perform material selection, stress analysis, tolerance stack‑ups, and design‑for‑manufacturability reviews.
  • Support geartrain, shaft, bearing, housing, sealing, and lubrication design.
  • Perform FMEA, reliability/MTBF analysis, qualification testing, and root‑cause investigations.
  • Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, production transition, and sustaining engineering.
  • Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, test, and customer teams to solve technical challenges.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience designing electromechanical actuators or similar high‑reliability products.
  • Strong experience with geartrain design, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.
  • Experience taking products from concept through release and sustaining engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience with prototype hardware and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. Person required for export‑control compliance.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with electric motors, actuators, rotating equipment, or aerospace hardware.
  • Aerospace, defense, or other high‑reliability product experience.
  • Reliability analysis and qualification testing experience.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, Nastran, Mathcad, Ansys, or similar engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of DO‑160 / MIL‑STD‑810.
Why Consider This Role?
  • Full product lifecycle ownership
  • Hands‑on design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Opportunity to work on high‑reliability motors and electromechanical systems
  • Strong cross‑functional engineering environment
  • Relocation assistance available within the U.S.

If you’re looking for an opportunity where you can apply your mechanical design expertise to challenging, high‑reliability products, we’d love to hear from you.
